Beagle Technology Group

Since 1956, ‘Beagle’ has been located at the Stony Lane, Christchurch, Dorset site on the UK’s South coast. During this time the company has been involved in a large number of traditional aerospace projects. These range from civil aircraft galley trolleys, fittings and flight simulator enclosures, through to a wide range of new and replacement components /assemblies for both military and civil aircraft.

Building on the Company’s rich heritage and experience, in 2011 the Beagle Technology Group was formed, proving the Company’s ability to adapt, innovate and win business in new markets around the world. The Beagle Technology Group consists of six Group Divisions: Beagle MRO, Beagle Aerospace, Beagle Precision, Beagle Defence, Beagle Composites and Beagle Treatments.

Company History

 1956 - C.F.Taylor (Metalworkers) Ltd opens in Christchurch & Wokingham

1971 - Beagle Aircraft acquired from Bulldog & Pup OEM based at Shoreham

1978 - C.F.Taylor joins EIS Group

1998 - Aligned to Aerostructures Hamble Group under TI

2000 - TI Merger - Smiths Group

2000 - CAA & FAA Civil repair station opened in Christchurch

2003 - First ‘Spares Inclusive Supplier’ to BAES Defence repairs business

2005 - Selected as preferred supplier on structural packages for GR7 Harrier airframe spares

2006 - Selected as Harrier GR7 repair station for major off-aircraft structural repairs

2006 - Acquired by Monksmead Partnership from Smiths Group plc.

2007 - New autoclave capability opened to support growth in composites business

2007 - New Chemi etch and NADCAP paint facility commissioned

2007 - Selected as VC10 major airframe component repair station

2009 - Beagle sign agreement with ADAC to develop CMRO capability in Abu Dhabi

2009 - Awarded BAES HPAC fabrication contract supporting RAF GR9 fleet

2010 - Beagle repair station opens CFM56 Thrust reverser overhaul and repair capability

2010 - New clean room to facilitate NADCAP composites

2011 – Beagle Technology Group formed
